In 1989, the International Federation of Guide Dog Schools for the Blind designated the last Wednesday of April as "International Guide Dog Day."
About 40 guide dog training facilities in some 20 countries around the world participate in the federation.
Every year, Itabashi Medical Device Co., Ltd. holds events on this day and the holidays around it to further understanding of guide dogs. This year, too, on April 25, we invited Japanese famous veterinary specialists to the Dalian guide dog training base in China for special health examinations in cooperation with Japanese corporation Meni-one Co., Ltd.
