Itabashi Trading has entered into a distributor agreement in China for the iPS cell and stem cell medium "StemFit Series" of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. "StemFit" is a next-generation medium developed jointly by Professor Shinya Yamanaka of the Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, Kyoto University, or "CiRA," who received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, and Ajinomoto Co., Inc. As a kick-off event celebrating the launch of the "StemFit" medium in China, we participated in the Congress of Chinese Ophthalmological Society (CCOS) held in Hangzhou, China from September 13 to 16, and many ophthalmologists and researchers visited our company booth every day.

On the 13th, a booth seminar on iPS cell research was held, with lectures delivered by 6 speakers, namely Professor Liu (Jiangsu People's Hospital), Dr. Fu (Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine), Professor Jin (Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University), Professor Wang (He Eye Hospital), Professor Wang (PLA General Hospital), and Researcher Onuki (Ajinomoto).

Thanks to the lecturers and the members of the Medium Group, Amino Acid Dept., Ajinomoto Co., Inc. who provided academic support, the CCOS meeting "StemFit Series" Kick-off event was concluded successfully.

Going forward, Itabashi Trading will capitalize on its "collective effort" accumulated over the last 20 years in the ophthalmology field to develop it as the de facto standard of iPS cell and stem cell media in China.
